Below you can find answers to many of the frequently asked questions about Accra Mobile.

  • What is Accra Mobile?

Accra Mobile is an electronic timecard app that will make tracking and documenting caregiving time easier and more accurate.

  • Why did Accra develop this app?

Accra created the Accra Mobile timecard system in response to the many clients and caregivers who have requested electronic timecards.

  • What are the benefits of Accra Mobile timecards?

Clients, RPs, and caregivers will find many benefits of electronic timesheets:

    • No need to email, fax or mail timesheets.
    • Customizable for different staffing types.
    • Required fields will reduce errors.
    • Increased efficiency will help us create systems that should allow us to pay caregivers quicker in the future.
    • One-stop shop for Accra timecards that provides easy recordkeeping!
    • Additionally, the federal government now requires, for most services, homecare providers to electronically document services that people are receiving billed to the state, and the Accra Mobile app meets that requirement.
  • Who will need to submit timecards on the Accra Mobile app?

Accra will transition all clients and caregivers to the mobile app for timesheets in phases over the next year.

  • Will GPS be tracking me and my caregivers at all times?

No, the Accra Mobile system will capture location data when caregivers log in and out of their shift on the mobile application. The system does not track caregivers or clients. We will only capture GPS information when required to do so by law.

  • Will I be expected to use my personal mobile device to enter time?

Yes. Managing/Responsible Parties and caregivers will use personal mobile devices to log in and approve shifts in real-time using the Accra Mobile app. Accra will offer training and technical support over the coming weeks and months as the app is rolled out to RPs and caregivers.

Additionally, RPs may use the web portal (Accra Access) to approve time. If shift approval is delayed, RPs must approve shifts using Accra Access.

  • What if I don’t have the technology or internet service to connect to the Accra Mobile app?

Accra will provide technical advice and alternative options as we roll out electronic timecards.
