What Is Private Pay Home Care?

Accra’s Private Pay home care program allows people to buy home care services with their private dollars when they are not covered by health insurance or other payers. Individuals are responsible for finding their own employees and once they do, Accra will assist you with employee paperwork, record keeping and payroll duties.

How to get Private Pay home care services

  1. Contact Accra’s Intake team via email at fmsintake@accracare.org
  2. An intake meeting will be completed to go over policies and timesheets, and staff will complete an application and background study.

Private Pay FAQ

  • Q: How much does Private Pay home care cost?

A: The participant, or designated third-party payer, is responsible to pay:

    • A monthly fee of $150.00 for the first Participant plus $50.00 for each additional Participant residing in the same home
    • Wages for hours worked by the employee, plus 12.75% for employer payroll taxes, workers compensation, and liability insurance.
