Accra Names Christianna Finnern and Mike Holz to Board of Directors
Finnern and Holz bring a dynamic mix of legal and business experience in the fields of homecare and healthcare.
MINNETONKA, Minn. – Feb. 21, 2023 – Accra, a nonprofit organization that provides individualized homecare services to people with disabilities and older adults throughout Minnesota, and its board of directors named Christianna Finnern and Mike Holz as new board members, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
“Christianna and Mike are each going to bring unique expertise to Accra as we navigate the rapidly evolving homecare landscape,” said Accra President and CEO John Dahm. “Christianna’s vast legal experience in homecare issues and her familiarity with Minnesota’s public health ecosystem are invaluable, and Mike’s ingenuity in leveraging health intelligence will help us fine tune personalized services that improve the lives of clients across the state.”
Finnern is a partner at the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine, where she has spent almost 20 years and works in the Health Law practice with a particular emphasis on homecare businesses, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and senior housing facilities, as well as mental and behavioral health. She represents providers in regulatory compliance and enforcement proceedings, health care licensing board investigations and advises her clients on issues such as state and federal privacy laws, including data breaches; credentialing, privileging and peer review processes; employment issues; and internal investigations.
Finnern regularly works with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, the Department of Health, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She also represents providers in third-party payor contracting, rate negotiations and audits.
Holz is the vice president of medication delivery and benefit alliances at Surescripts, LLC. Surescripts convenes healthcare organizations nationwide to simplify how health intelligence is shared – improving care for patients and better supporting those who serve them.
For the past ten years, Holz has had responsibility at Surescripts for network alliance relationships in the pharmacy, health plan, and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) space. He has spent the last 25 years managing healthcare in various functions, including underwriting and finance, as well as managing key strategies. Mike is passionate about using technology to remove complexity for providers and patients.
